Categories support unlimited nesting for parent and sub-category hierarchies, can be assigned a colour for instant visual identification in the POS, and are available as filters in every product-related report and in your online shop. A clear, consistent category structure reduces checkout time, simplifies stock management, and produces much more useful analytics.

Navigate to Products then Categories and click Add New Category.

Enter the category name, select an optional parent category for hierarchy, and choose a POS colour code.

Configure visibility: set whether the category appears in the POS, the online shop, stock reports, or all three.

Assign existing products to the new category from the individual product edit screens.
